Schedule / Job Type
- Night shift, 3 - 12 hour shifts (7pm - 7am), full-time
Key Responsibilities
- Provide specialized nursing care to surgical and telemetry patients in a hospital setting.
- Recognize and respond to ECG rhythm changes and monitor patient vitals.
- Complete assessments and administer medications following protocol.
- Maintain documentation accuracy and ensure patient safety during shift.
- Collaborate with healthcare team to deliver quality patient care.
- Adhere to all regulatory and institutional standards and policies.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum of 18 months recent Med/Surg Telemetry experience.
- Current Ohio license or valid Compact state license.
- BLS and ACLS certifications are mandatory.
- Willingness to obtain NIHSS certification before start date.
- Must pass ECG rhythm recognition test and safeMedicate assessment during orientation.
- One recent managerial reference in the specialty required.
Preferred Experience / Skills
- Prior experience in a hospital setting with Med/Surg and telemetry units.
- Ability to effectively recognize and respond to cardiac rhythms.
- Strong documentation and communication skills.
