Registered Nurse - Mother Baby/Postpartum

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide nursing care for high-risk antepartum and postpartum patients, including those with conditions such as previa, preeclampsia, diabetes, hypertension, PTL, twins, substance use disorder, and fetal loss management.
• Assist with patient assessments, including sterile speculum exams, dilation, effacement, presentation, and station evaluations.
• Manage IV therapy and phlebotomy procedures, including maintaining central lines (CVC/PICC) and administering medications like anticoagulants, insulin, and magnesium sulfate.
• Circulate during labor, including assisting with cesarean sections, and support sterile procedures and bedside interventions.
• Support neonatal care, including postpartum mother-infant interactions and caring for mothers with babies in NICU environments.
• Float to postpartum units as needed, supporting the team with additional patient coverage.

Required Qualifications:

• Active nursing license in a non-Swedish facility or active compact license (if applicable).
• Minimum of 2 years' recent experience in maternal or postpartum nursing.
• Experience or certification in maternal and newborn nursing (AWHONN Advanced preferred).
• Current BLS certification; NRP required; ACLS preferred.
• Ability to assist with high-risk obstetric procedures, including sterile speculum exams and management of IV lines and medications.

Preferred Experience / Skills:

• Experience with high-risk antepartum care and procedures.
• Familiarity with fetal monitoring, NICU-related postpartum care, and complex obstetric cases.
• Float experience to labor/delivery units is an advantage.
