Key Responsibilities
- Provide specialized nursing care to neonatal intensive care patients, including ELBW and preemies
- Monitor and manage the health status of NICU babies, ensuring compliance with all safety and care protocols
- Float to Peds, PICU, and full-term nursery units as needed to support patient care
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to develop and implement individualized care plans
- Administer medications, treatments, and interventions according to physician orders and nursing standards
- Document patient assessments, treatments, and progress accurately and thoroughly
Required Qualifications
- Minimum of 2 years of NICU nursing experience
- Valid RN license in the state of Maryland or ability to obtain licensure
- BCLS certification required; NRP and STABLE certifications preferred or must be obtained
- Proficiency in caring for Level III NICU patients, including ELBW infants and preemies
Preferred Experience / Skills
- Experience caring for NAS and surgical NICU patients
- Flexibility to float across various pediatric and neonatal units
- Strong communication and teamwork skills
