Full-time, Night shifts, 36 hours/week
Key Responsibilities
- Provide direct nursing care to patients in labor and delivery units.
- Assist with childbirth, including inductions, cesarean sections, and other obstetric procedures.
- Monitor fetal and maternal well-being using standard charting systems such as Cerner.
- Administer medications and manage epidurals, magnesium sulfate, Pitocin, and insulin drips.
- Support patients and families throughout labor, delivery, and postpartum care.
- Float to various units such as antenatal, high risk, OB triage, and postpartum as needed.
Required Qualifications
- DE or Compact RN license in hand.
- Valid RN license with license number and expiration date.
- At least 2 years of experience in labor and delivery.
- Certification in surgical technology (if applicable).
- Full SSN, date of birth, and current address.
Preferred Experience / Skills
- Experience managing high-risk pregnancies.
- Knowledge of advanced obstetrics procedures like external cephalic version and fetal demise management.
- Strong skills in handling emergency procedures related to labor and delivery.
