Schedule / Job Type
- Full-time, travel position, nights shift (7:00 PM - 7:00 AM), multiple shifts available with variable start times (3:00 PM - 7:00 PM)
Key Responsibilities
- Provide high-quality nursing care to emergency department patients, including trauma, stroke, STEMI, post-surgical complications, pregnancy, pediatrics, psychiatric, and other ED cases.
- Administer medications and treatments following established protocols, monitoring for side effects and effectiveness.
- Conduct patient assessments, develop care plans, and document all patient interactions accurately.
- Educate patients and families on care procedures, diagnoses, and follow-up requirements.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure comprehensive patient care.
- Demonstrate independent practice and effective delegation to support care delivery.
Required Qualifications
- Current RN license in the state of employment or a compact license.
- Valid Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from AHA.
- Valid Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification from AHA.
- Valid Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) certification from AHA.
- Valid Trauma Nursing Core Course (TNCC) certification.
- At least 1 year of nursing experience, preferably in emergency or acute care settings.
Preferred Experience / Skills
- Bachelor of Science Degree in Nursing (BSN).
- Experience handling a diverse range of ED patients, from routine to critical.
- Ability to manage complex clinical situations with professionalism and confidence.
