Registered Nurse - Medical Surgical/Telemetry

Location: Winston-Salem, NC

Schedule / Job Type: Full-time, 12-hour night shifts (18:45 - 07:15), contract opportunities available for 13-16 weeks

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide direct patient care to a medical-surgical patient population, excluding cardiac telemetry patients
• Perform IV starts and utilize EPIC electronic medical records
• Maintain patient safety and comfort, adhering to unit protocols and standards
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams and participate in self-scheduling
• Ensure accurate documentation and communication via Pyxis and SBAR tools
• Float to other units as needed and work every other weekend

Required Qualifications:

• Minimum of 2 years of relevant nursing experience, including traveler experience acceptable
• Current BCLS certification
• Must have EPIC electronic health record experience
• EKG testing clearance prior to start
• Ability to pass EKG testing for specialty-specific requirements

Preferred Skills / Certifications:

• ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support)
• NIH Stroke Scale certification
