Key Responsibilities

• Provide patient care to a diverse adult patient population, including stroke, post-operative, and hospice patients.
• Monitor and manage patients with various conditions such as wound care, drains, chest tubes, feeding tubes, and heparin drips.
• Administer medications, perform assessments, and respond to patient needs in a high-acuity medical-surgical environment.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
• Document patient care activities accurately and efficiently, adhering to hospital protocols.

Required Qualifications

• Valid RN license in Illinois or applicable state.
• Ability to work 12-hour shifts, including every other weekend and holiday.
• Prior experience in medical-surgical nursing preferred.
• Strong assessment and critical thinking skills.

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Certification in stroke care or neuro-specific nursing preferred.
• Experience managing patients with complex post-surgical needs and various IV therapies.
• Comfort working in a fast-paced, diverse clinical setting.
