Key Responsibilities
- Provide independent nursing care in a telemetry unit, including assessment, diagnosis, planning, intervention, and evaluation for assigned patients
- Administer medications and treatments according to protocols, monitoring for side effects and effectiveness
- Document patient history, symptoms, medication, and care provided accurately
- Educate patients and their families about conditions, treatments, and health management
- Adapt care based on complex psychological, emotional, cultural, and social needs of patients and families
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary team members and delegate tasks when appropriate to ensure optimal patient outcomes
Required Qualifications
- Current BLS certification
- Current ACLS certification
- RN license in the state of employment or a compact license
Preferred Experience / Skills
- At least 1 year of experience in a related nursing specialty, preferably in a telemetry or medical-surgical setting
- PALS and CPI certifications are a plus
