Key Responsibilities
- Perform diagnostic nuclear medicine procedures following physician orders and safety protocols.
- Prepare and administer radioactive tracers to patients, ensuring proper handling and documentation.
- Operate and maintain nuclear medicine imaging equipment.
- Ensure patient comfort and safety throughout procedures.
- Document and report findings accurately for physician review.
- Adhere to all regulatory guidelines and safety standards.
Required Qualifications
- Valid state licensure or certification in nuclear medicine technology.
- Proven experience operating nuclear medicine equipment.
- Knowledge of safety procedures related to radioactive materials.
- Strong attention to detail and patient care skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced clinical environment.
Preferred Experience / Skills
- Previous work in a hospital or outpatient imaging center.
- Certification from a recognized nuclear medicine technologist organization.
- Familiarity with digital imaging software and PACS systems.
