Key Responsibilities

• Operate GE MRI scanners (1.5T and 3T) following safety protocols and standard procedures.
• Acquire high-quality MRI images ensuring patient safety and comfort.
• Start IVs and perform necessary patient assessments.
• Maintain and troubleshoot MRI equipment in compliance with department standards.
• Document procedures accurately using Epic EMR system.
• Cover outpatient, inpatient, and emergency department cases as needed.

Required Qualifications

• Active Illinois MRI Technologist license or confirmation of application.
• BLS certification.
• ARRT certification in MRI (RTR MR).
• Knowledge of GE MRI scanners (1.5T and 3T) and MRI safety guidelines.
• Experience with starting IVs and MRI acquisition sequences.
• Ability to work flexible shifts, including weekends and potential holidays.
• Knowledge of Epic EMR and GE equipment.

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Prior experience assisting MRI radiology teams or with MRI tech assistants.
• Familiarity with operating GE scanners and understanding the department’s imaging protocols.
