• Night shift, Full-time, Contract (48-hour weekly schedule)

Key Responsibilities

• Provide specialized nursing care to advanced cardiac patients, including those with heart failure, chest pain, NSTEMI, post-procedure recovery, COPD exacerbation, and substance withdrawal.
• Manage IV drips such as heparin, nitroglycerin, amiodarone, Cardizem, insulin, and others, ensuring proper administration and monitoring.
• Interpret EKG strips, perform bedside assessments, and respond appropriately to patient needs.
• Work collaboratively with the healthcare team to ensure patient safety and optimal outcomes.
• Adhere to hospital protocols and safety guidelines, including proper PPE usage and patient ratios.

Required Qualifications

• Valid Registered Nurse license in Ohio.
• At least 1.5 years of RN experience, with some level 1 or 2 ICU or Cardiac Stepdown experience.
• EPIC electronic health record system experience.
• BLS and NIH Stroke Scale certification; ACLS preferred.
• Ability to read and interpret EKG strips.
• IV Start experience.
• Must pass an online EKG tele competency assessment prior to start.
• Fit for N95 respirator prior to working on the unit (PAPR if needed).

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Travel nursing experience.
• Experience floating within multiple hospital locations (Dayton main campus, Centerville, Englewood).
• Experience with cardiac patients with complex needs.
