Key Responsibilities
- Provide specialized nursing care for endoscopy procedures including EUS, EBUS, ERCP, ION, Colonoscopy, and Bronchoscopy
- Assist in preparing patients, documenting procedures, and ensuring patient safety throughout
- Collaborate with medical teams to deliver quality patient outcomes in a magnet-level, trauma-designated hospital
- Float within scope as needed, ensuring coverage across the department without cross-facility travel
- Participate in on-call schedule every 5th weekend to support procedure needs
- Maintain compliance with certifications and facility policies, including BLS and preferred ACLS, PALS, SGNA credentials
Required Qualifications
- AK RN license in hand or pending, with a strong preference for actual licensure in Alaska
- Valid BLS certification; ACLS, PALS, SGNA certification preferred
- Experience with endoscopy and GI procedures such as EUS, EBUS, ERCP, ION, Colonoscopy, and Bronchoscopy
- At least 1 year of acute care nursing experience including procedural support
- Ability to work in a fast-paced hospital environment, adhering to safety and quality standards
Preferred Experience / Skills
- Prior experience in a magnet-level hospital or trauma setting
- Ability to work a block schedule and accommodate 13-week or 26-week assignments
- Willingness to commit to a 70-hour bi-weekly guarantee, with flexibility for on-call shifts

Additional Details
- On-call is required every 5th weekend; candidates must be willing to accept on-call duties
- No cross-facility floating; unit-specific scope only
- Locals not accepted; candidates must reside at least 50 miles from the facility
- Parking is free; charting completed in Epic
Candidates must have appropriate licensure in hand prior to assignment start date and be prepared for a fast-paced, rewarding healthcare environment.
