Key Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care to adult medical-surgical patients in a fast-paced healthcare environment.
- Monitor patient conditions using telemetry and other clinical systems.
- Administer medications, including IV therapy, blood products, and advanced wound care.
- Manage post-surgical patients, including those with drains, chest tubes, or requiring isolation precautions.
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams for patient care planning and emergency response.
- Document patient interventions and status accurately in the electronic medical records system.
Required Qualifications
- Valid Registered Nurse (RN) license.
- Minimum of 1 year of medical-surgical nursing experience.
- BLS certification.
- Experience with telemetry monitoring and IV therapy.
- Ability to manage complex patient needs, including wound and drain care.
Preferred Experience / Skills
- Familiarity with Meditech documentation system.
- Experience with emergency response protocols (Rapid Response/Code teams).
- Knowledge of various surgical procedures such as orthopedics, urology, and general surgery.
- Skills in patient education regarding postoperative care, drains, and medication management.
