Key Responsibilities
- Provide inpatient nursing care for patients recovering from illnesses, injuries, or surgeries in a rehabilitation setting.
- Administer medications, monitor patient progress, and document care using Meditech electronic health records.
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to develop and implement patient-specific treatment plans.
- Assist patients with activities of daily living and support rehabilitation therapies.
- Ensure compliance with hospital policies, safety standards, and certifications such as BLS and CARF.
- Support patient comfort and promote recovery through attentive, personalized care.
Required Qualifications
- Valid registered nurse (RN) license in North Carolina.
- Minimum of 2 years of clinical nursing experience, preferably in rehabilitation, med-surge, or inpatient settings.
- BLS certification required.
- Advanced clinical skills in inpatient care, including IV management and use of specialty equipment.
- Ability to work night shifts (7:00 PM – 7:00 AM).
- Must be able to work full 13-week assignment.
Preferred Experience / Skills
- Experience with patients requiring complex care, including those with stroke, traumatic brain injury, or amputations.
- Familiarity with Meditech electronic documentation system.
- Experience working in a hospital with CARF and Joint Commission accreditation.
- Comfortable working in a team-oriented, fast-paced environment.
