- Full-time, Travel, Days shift, 13-week assignment
Key Responsibilities
- Provide specialized nursing care in the Cardiac Operating Room (CVOR) for open-heart and cardiothoracic procedures.
- Assist with procedures such as CABG, valve replacements, ECMO, Impellas, and pericardial windows.
- Ensure patient safety and monitor vital signs throughout perioperative care.
- Collaborate with surgical teams to maintain sterile technique and proper equipment setup.
- Document care provided accurately in the EMR system.
- Float to other ORs as needed when no open-heart cases are scheduled.
Required Qualifications
- Valid Registered Nurse license in Texas or appropriate state.
- BLS and ACLS certifications.
- Experience with CVOR, open-heart surgeries, or cardiothoracic procedures.
- Ability to work on a 7a-3p schedule with call coverage, including weekends and holidays.
- Dependability and flexibility in a fast-paced environment.
Preferred Experience / Skills
- Experience in other service lines such as trauma, general surgery, gyn, urology, ortho, neuro, or plastics.
- Familiarity with Meditech EMR system.
- Prior travel nursing experience preferred.
