Key Responsibilities
- Provide specialized nursing care to pediatric patients in the Pediatric Intensive Care Unit (PICU)
- Monitor and manage complex cardiac and critical care patients, including those with congenital heart defects, heart failure, and post-transplant status
- Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team, including intensivists, residents, and med/surgical staff
- Administer medications via EPIC EMR, ensure accurate narcotic waste, and follow strict protocols
- Assist with patient education and family support, facilitating visitation and school needs for prolonged stays
- Ensure adherence to hospital policies, safety standards, and infection control guidelines
Required Qualifications
- Active AR or Compact Nursing License
- Minimum of 3 years of nursing experience, preferably in pediatric critical care or CVU
- Cardiac, CVICU, or ICU nursing experience required
- BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications prior to start
- Ability to pass nicotine and negative drug tests, and fit testing (no facial hair unless religious)
Preferred Experience / Skills
- EPIC EMR proficiency
- Experience with PICC lines, intracardiac lines, or VAD/Impella support
- Prior travel nursing experience in critical care
- NICU/ Burn PICU floating experience preferred
