Registered Nurse - IMC/PCU/Stepdown
Location: Cambridge, MA
Schedule / Job Type: Rotating shifts, full-time, contract

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide high-quality nursing care to patients in an intermediate care unit, including step-down, telemetry, and med-surg patients.
• Monitor and respond to patient needs, performing neuro checks, seizure assessments, and continuous EEG monitoring as required.
• Administer medications and treatments for cardiac, respiratory, neurological, and renal conditions, including drips, IV medications, and dialysis procedures.
• Collaborate with the healthcare team to develop and implement patient care plans.
• Float between different levels of care (MS, ICU, ED) as needed to ensure patient coverage.
• Document patient assessments, interventions, and responses accurately and timely.

Required Qualifications:

• Valid MA Registered Nurse license.
• BLS certification from AHA is required; ACLS certification preferred.
• Minimum of 2 years of recent experience in an IMC, PCU, or Step-Down unit.
• Experience caring for patients with cardiac, respiratory, neurological, or renal issues.
• Ability to work rotating day/night shifts with every other weekend.
• BILH cover sheet required at time of submission.

Preferred Experience / Skills:

• Experience in a hospital setting with exposure to cardiothoracic surgery and complex medication administration.
• Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment with floating between units.
