Key Responsibilities
- Provide respiratory therapy care to neonatal, pediatric, and adult patients in a hospital setting.
- Support in the nursery and Emergency Room as needed, maintaining flexibility to meet unit demands.
- Flex to work every other weekend and participate in holiday rotations, including Thanksgiving, Christmas, and New Year’s.
- Manage various respiratory equipment, including ventilators and monitors, ensuring patient safety and quality care.
- Document all treatments accurately within the hospital’s electronic health record system.
- Assist in patient assessments and collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to provide optimal care.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum of 2-3 years of respiratory therapy experience.
- Current NY State license or proof of application with an applied date, with licensing expected within 6-8 weeks.
- At least 2 years of relevant clinical experience, including neonatal or pediatric exposure.
- NRP certification or experience with neonatal/pediatric populations.
- Recent (within 2 years) EPIC electronic medical record system experience.
- CPR, BLS, and ACLS certifications required.
- Ability to work flexible shifts and support various hospital units.
Preferred Experience / Skills
- Previous travel therapy experience preferred.
- Experience with Invasive Monitoring, Ventilators (e.g., Puritan Bennett 980 & 840, LTV1200), and other respiratory equipment.
- Familiarity with hospital policies on dress code and documentation requirements.

- No block scheduling; 12-hour day/night shifts with rotation based on department needs.
