Key Responsibilities

• Provide respiratory therapy care to neonatal, pediatric, and adult patients in a hospital setting.
• Support in the nursery and Emergency Room as needed, maintaining flexibility to meet unit demands.
• Flex to work every other weekend and participate in holiday rotations, including Thanksgiving, Christmas, and New Year’s.
• Manage various respiratory equipment, including ventilators and monitors, ensuring patient safety and quality care.
• Document all treatments accurately within the hospital’s electronic health record system.
• Assist in patient assessments and collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to provide optimal care.

Required Qualifications

• Minimum of 2-3 years of respiratory therapy experience.
• Current NY State license or proof of application with an applied date, with licensing expected within 6-8 weeks.
• At least 2 years of relevant clinical experience, including neonatal or pediatric exposure.
• NRP certification or experience with neonatal/pediatric populations.
• Recent (within 2 years) EPIC electronic medical record system experience.
• CPR, BLS, and ACLS certifications required.
• Ability to work flexible shifts and support various hospital units.

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Previous travel therapy experience preferred.
• Experience with Invasive Monitoring, Ventilators (e.g., Puritan Bennett 980 & 840, LTV1200), and other respiratory equipment.
• Familiarity with hospital policies on dress code and documentation requirements.
