Registered Nurse PACU
Job Title
• Registered Nurse - PACU
Location
• York, ME
Schedule / Job Type
• Full-time, 13-week assignment, 36 hours per week, daytime shifts with weekend call rotation
Key Responsibilities
• Provide postoperative care for patients recovering from surgery in the PACU
• Monitor patient vital signs and overall condition post-surgery
• Collaborate with surgical and anesthesia teams to ensure safe recovery
• Document patient assessments, interventions, and progress accurately
• Respond to patient needs promptly and effectively during recovery
• Maintain compliance with hospital and regulatory standards
Required Qualifications
• Valid Registered Nurse license in Maine or eligible for licensure
• Minimum of one year of recent experience in an ASU/PACU environment
• Current CPR/BLS certification
• ACLS and PALS certifications required
Preferred Experience / Skills
• Strong assessment and critical thinking skills in a postoperative setting
• Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills
