Key Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate nursing care to adult medical-surgical patients in a hospital setting.
• Monitor and document patient vital signs, medical histories, and treatment responses.
• Administer medications and perform IV therapy, including titration of drips such as Heparin.
• Collaborate with the healthcare team to develop and update patient care plans.
• Respond to patient needs and emergencies promptly, ensuring safety and comfort.
• Maintain accurate documentation in accordance with hospital policies.

Required Qualifications

• Active Illinois Registered Nurse (RN) license or confirmation of application process.
• BLS certification.
• Minimum of 1 year of hospital experience preferred.
• Ability to perform IV starts and manage titratable drips.
• Sensitive to the hospital’s drug-free environment, with a negative drug screen required.

Preferred Experience / Skills

• ACLS certification is preferred, especially for Charge Nurse roles.
• Experience with telemetry monitoring and remote telemetry equipment.
• Knowledge of hospital protocols and patient care standards in a medical-surgical unit.
