Registered Nurse - Telemetry
Location:
Alamogordo, NM
Schedule / Job Type:
Full-time, night shift (7PM - 7AM), 13-week travel assignment
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide independent nursing care to patients in a telemetry unit, including assessment, diagnosis, planning, intervention, and evaluation
- Administer medications and treatments using established protocols, monitoring for side effects and effectiveness
- Document patient history, symptoms, medications, and care provided accurately
- Address psychological, emotional, cultural, and social needs of patients and their families
- Educate patients, families, and caregivers on health conditions and treatments
- Collaborate with healthcare team members to ensure comprehensive patient care
Required Qualifications:
- Valid RN license in the state of employment or in a compact license
- BLS certification
- Bachelor of Science Degree in Nursing (preferred)
- Minimum 1 year of relevant nursing experience (preferred)
Preferred Experience / Skills:
- Experience in medical-surgical, orthopedic, behavioral health, obstetrics surgical, or pediatric nursing
- Familiarity with electronic health records (EHR) systems, such as EPIC
- Ability to float to different units as needed
