Key Responsibilities
- Provide specialized nursing care to patients during labor, delivery, and postpartum in a 14-bed Labor & Delivery unit.
- Assist with vaginal deliveries and cesarean sections, ensuring patient safety and comfort.
- Monitor fetal and maternal vital signs, using equipment such as EMR systems.
- Collaborate with the healthcare team to develop and implement patient care plans.
- Educate new mothers on postpartum care and newborn care procedures.
- Maintain compliance with unit policies, safety standards, and certifications.
Required Qualifications
- Current RN license
- AWHONN Intermediate Fetal Monitoring Certification
- Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) certification
- Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) and Basic Life Support (BLS) certifications
Preferred Experience / Skills
- BSN degree
- Experience in Labor and Delivery, postpartum, or mother/baby units
- Familiarity with Meditech EMR system
