Key Responsibilities

• Provide care to high-risk obstetric patients in a Level III Labor & Delivery unit, including assessments during all stages of labor and postpartum.
• Administer medications such as Pitocin and Magnesium Sulfate, and manage IV starts.
• Monitor fetal well-being using EFM and respond to high-risk complications like pre-eclampsia, eclampsia, and preterm labor.
• Float to Mother Baby Unit as needed, providing newborn assessments and care.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams including anesthesia, techs, and unit staff to ensure quality patient care.
• Document patient care accurately using Sunrise Clinical Systems and Centricity.

Required Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years of recent experience in a 500+ bed facility, preferably in a high-risk OB setting.
• Current licensure as a Registered Nurse.
• BLS, ACLS, and NRP certifications required.
• Experience with high-risk OB, fetal monitoring, and maternal assessments.
• Must have labor and delivery experience in large hospital settings.
• Ability to work flexible shifts including nights, weekends, and holidays.

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Certification in inpatient OB or maternal/newborn nursing.
• Experience with Level III NICU or similar high-acuity units.
• Previous travel nursing experience and larger hospital backgrounds preferred.
