Schedule / Job Type
- Full-time, travel assignment, dayshift (7:00 AM – 7:00 PM), 13-week duration
Key Responsibilities
- Provide comprehensive labor and delivery nursing care in a 10-bed LDRP unit with triage and OR suites
- Monitor and assist with patient inductions, cesarean sections, and spontaneous vaginal deliveries
- Utilize GE monitoring, Novii Wireless, Spectrum IV Pumps, and CADD epidural PCA equipment
- Collaborate with a team of 30 RNs to ensure optimal patient outcomes and safety
- Maintain accurate documentation in Meditech EMR system
- Communicate effectively with patients and team members to promote a friendly and supportive environment
Required Qualifications
- Current BLS certification
- Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) certification
- Registered Nurse licensure in Virginia or proper state licensing
Preferred Experience / Skills
- Intermediate Fetal Monitoring certification
- ACLS certification
- Prior experience with labor and delivery procedures such as inductions, C-sections, and SVDs
