Key Responsibilities
- Provide specialized nursing care to telemetry patients in a hospital setting.
- Float to various units including emergency department holds, inpatient holds, PACU, and other boarding units as needed.
- Adhere to patient care protocols, including assisting with assessments, treatments, and monitoring vital signs.
- Participate in rotating day and night shifts, including every other weekend work.
- Comply with hospital policies and safety standards, including BLS certification requirements.
Required Qualifications
- Valid BLS (AHA) certification.
- Active registered nursing license in the state of Massachusetts.
- Ability to work rotating 12-hour shifts (7 PM–7:30 AM, 7 AM–7:30 PM).
- Willingness to float in 4-hour blocks during shifts.
- Up-to-date Relias practice testing completion.
- Must have at least 6 months separation from all employment types (perm, per diem, contract) with the employer.
Preferred Experience / Skills
- ACLS (AHA) certification preferred.
- NIHSS certification preferred.
- Level 1 trauma experience strongly preferred; prior travel experience required if no trauma background.
- Experience working in high-acuity settings and with patient ratios of 1:4 to 1:6.
