Night shifts, full-time, 12-hour shifts, every other weekend, no call, holidays off

Key Responsibilities

• Provide care for 5-7 patients in a Medical-Surgical unit, including admissions, discharges, and transfers
• Manage patients with diagnoses such as CHF, renal failure, pneumonia, C.diff, and diabetes, excluding oncology cases
• Utilize equipment including tele monitoring, EPIC charting, medication scanning, and remote telemetry
• Follow unit-specific procedures and protocols while maintaining patient safety and comfort
• Collaborate with a team of healthcare professionals and float to sister units as needed
• Ensure compliance with medication competency and complete unit-specific training and orientation

Required Qualifications

• Active RN license in Maryland or a compact state
• BLS certification from the American Heart Association
• Minimum of 2 years of recent medical-surgical nursing experience

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Experience with tele monitoring and EPIC electronic charting systems
• Ability to adapt to floating to different units within the department
• Familiarity with caring for patients with multiple common diagnoses in a fast-paced setting
