Schedule / Job Type
- Full-time, travel, 13-week assignment, day shifts (7:00 AM - 7:00 PM)
Key Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care to telemetry patients, including monitoring cardiac rhythms and vital signs.
- Perform assessments and document patient conditions accurately in Meditech.
- Administer medications and treatments per physician orders and hospital protocols.
- Collaborate with nursing staff and healthcare team to ensure quality patient care.
- Conduct procedures such as PICC line and vas cath removal as needed.
- Ensure compliance with hospital policies, hygiene standards, and safety guidelines.
Required Qualifications
- Valid LVN / LPN license in Louisiana or eligibility to practice there.
- BLS and ACLS certifications.
- Strong assessment skills and knowledge of telemetry rhythm interpretation.
- Ability to work 12-hour shifts in a fast-paced environment.
- Reliable, flexible, and team-oriented attitude.
Preferred Experience / Skills
- Prior experience working in telemetry or med-surg units.
- Knowledge of hospital EMR systems, specifically Meditech.
- Experience with advanced equipment such as Dynamaps and iMobile technology.
- Certifications beyond BLS/ACLS that demonstrate continuing education.
