Schedule / Job Type

• Travel, 12-week assignment, Night shifts (7:00 PM - 7:00 AM)

Key Responsibilities

• Provide expert nursing care to women during labor, delivery, and postpartum stages in a Level II L&D unit.
• Assess fetal monitoring data and respond to obstetric emergencies such as shoulder dystocia and postpartum hemorrhage.
• Manage labor and recovery processes, including procedures like C-sections, intrauterine monitoring, and assisted deliveries.
• Transition and assess both mother and newborn post-delivery, ensuring safety and stability.
• Collaborate with experienced nursing staff and multidisciplinary team to deliver high-quality maternal and neonatal care.
• Document patient care accurately using Meditech and CPN systems.

Required Qualifications

• Valid Registered Nurse (RN) license in Tennessee or applicable state.
• Minimum of 2 years of recent Labor and Delivery experience.
• Certifications: BLS, NRP, and Fetal Monitoring training.
• Experience with labor induction (Pitocin, Cervidil) and obstetric procedures including C-sections and assisted delivery techniques.
• Ability to perform assessments and respond effectively to obstetric emergencies.

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Hands-on experience handling shoulder dystocia, postpartum hemorrhage, and other OB complications.
• Knowledge of fetal monitoring education and management of inductions.
• Strong team collaboration skills in a fast-paced environment.
• Prior experience working in a Level II NICU setting is a plus.
