Full-time, Day Shift with On-Call Rotation

Key Responsibilities:

• Utilize the nursing process and critical thinking to provide patient care in collaboration with interdisciplinary teams.
• Perform assessments, develop care plans, and implement interventions tailored to patient needs.
• Administer medications and treatments following approved techniques, policies, and legal guidelines.
• Ensure accurate and comprehensive documentation in compliance with standards of care.
• Educate patients and their families, supporting understanding and engagement in care.
• Participate in department performance improvement activities and adhere to evidence-based practices.
• Support system and unit initiatives, contributing to a positive and efficient care environment.
• Respond to patient phone calls, perform telephone triage, and manage patient flow in clinic and ambulatory settings.

Required Qualifications:

• Graduate of an accredited nursing program.
• Minimum of 3 years of RN experience, including at least 1 year in critical care.
• Current Illinois RN licensure.
• Current CPR, ACLS, and PALS certifications.
• Successfully pass EKG testing prior to completion of orientation.
• Certification in NIHSS (National Institute Healthcare Stroke Scale).

Preferred Experience / Skills:

• Prior cardiovascular intervention experience.
• Experience working in a hospital cardiac cath lab or electrophysiology setting.
• Strong critical thinking and patient safety focus.
