Key Responsibilities
- Provide specialized cardiac care to pediatric patients in the CVPICU.
- Monitor ventilators, multiple monitors, and interpret EKGs.
- Administer medications and treatments following pediatric cardiac protocols.
- Collaborate with multi-disciplinary teams to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
- Document patient care accurately in electronic health records.
- Float between units within scope as needed and accommodate flexible scheduling.
Required Qualifications
- Valid California RN license.
- Minimum of 2 years recent experience in Pediatric CVICU.
- Cardiac training experience, including heart transplant care.
- BLS and PALS certifications.
- Experience with ventilators, multiple monitors, and EKG interpretation.
- Willing to float within scope and work rotating shifts.
- Ability to work scheduled weekends, including Fri/Sat nights or Sat/Sun days.
Preferred Experience / Skills
- Experience working in top-rated children’s hospitals.
- Knowledge of Epic EMR systems.
- Previous experience with pediatric cardiac transplants.
