Job Title: Registered Nurse - Medical Surgical Location: Richmond, VA Shift: Nights We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Registered Nurse to join our team at a leading hospital in Richmond, VA. This is a 13-week travel opportunity for a Registered Nurse - Medical Surgical to work on a general medical surgical floor, including a designated stroke and neuro unit. **Unit Information:** * 34 beds (max capacity of 43 patients) * Staffing: + Day Shift: 1 charge, 8 RNs, 3 techs, 1 unit secretary (if at max capacity) + Night Shift: 1 charge, 8 RNs, 1 tech, 1 unit secretary (if at max capacity) + Patient ratios: 5:1 * Equipment: Remote tele and EMR (Meditech) **Responsibilities:** * Provide high-quality patient care on a general medical surgical floor, including a designated stroke and neuro unit * Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care * Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to develop and implement care plans * Administer medications and treatments as prescribed * Educate patients and families on health promotion and disease prevention **Requirements:** * Current RN licensure in the state of Virginia * 2+ years of experience in medical surgical nursing * NIH Stroke certification * ACLS certification (preferred) * BLS certification (preferred) * Strong communication and interpersonal skills * Compassionate and empathetic approach to patient care **What We Offer:** * Competitive pay rate * Opportunities for professional growth and development * Collaborative and supportive work environment If you are a motivated and compassionate Registered Nurse looking for a new challenge, please apply today!
