Key Responsibilities

• Provide patient care in a Neuro Medical Surgical unit, focusing on neuro diagnoses and general medicine.
• Collaborate with the healthcare team to ensure patient safety and deliver quality care.
• Use hospital systems such as Pyxis, EPIC, and SBAR for medication administration and documentation.
• Follow unit-specific protocols and assist in patient assessment and monitoring.
• Participate in unit orientation and maintain compliance with hospital standards.

Required Qualifications

• Valid RN license.
• Current ACLS and BLS certifications.
• Ability to pass EKG testing prior to start.
• Minimum of 2 years of RN experience, preferably in a neuro or medical-surgical setting.
• Strong teamwork approach to patient care and focus on safety.

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Neuro experience or willingness to learn neuro-specific roles such as charge nurse.
• NIH certification or neuro specialty training preferred.
• Experience with float requirements and working during disaster scenarios such as storms or mass casualty events.
