Key Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive nursing care to obstetrical patients, including high-risk antepartum, postpartum, and intrapartum care.
• Perform circulating duties, sterile vaginal exams, and immediate newborn assessments.
• Collaborate with the care team to manage a high-volume, high-acuity maternity unit with approximately 20 births daily.
• Support routine outpatient procedures such as fetal surveillance, hydration, and medication administration.
• Assist with scheduled and unscheduled Cesarean sections and rescue cervical cerclage procedures.
• Adapt to a fast-paced environment requiring efficient multitasking and clinical judgment.

Required Qualifications

• Minimum of 2 years of experience in Labor and Delivery or similar high-volume maternity units.
• Experience in circulating roles, sterile exams, and immediate newborn care.
• Certifications: BCLS, NRP, and AWHONN Intermediate or equivalent.
• Competent in using PYXIS, EPIC, and SBAR communication systems.
• Strong ability to work independently in a busy, high-acuity environment.

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Prior experience in OR circulating roles is highly preferred.
• Familiarity with high-risk obstetrics and triage procedures.
• Willingness to float as needed within the department.
