Job Title
- Sterile Processing Technician

- Springfield, IL
Schedule / Job Type
- Full-time, Mids (afternoon shift), 8-hour shifts, 14:30 - 23:00, Monday through Friday
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare and sterilize surgical instruments and medical equipment according to hospital protocols
- Maintain accurate documentation within the hospital's charting system
- Ensure compliance with infection control and safety standards
- Collaborate with clinical teams and float within scope as needed
- Support maintaining the sterile processing workflow to meet departmental demands
Required Qualifications
- Minimum of 5 years of sterile processing experience
- Certification from IAHCSMM or HSPA (preferred)
- Ability to work Mids shift and accommodate schedule requests
- No first-time applicants; experienced candidates only
- Valid scrub attire in any solid color
Preferred Experience / Skills
- Experience working in a Level I trauma center or acute care hospital
- Familiarity with Cerner or similar charting systems
- Ability to support a fast-paced environment with high census
