Registered Nurse - IR/Special Procedures

Days, 13-week assignment

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide specialized nursing care in the Interventional Radiology and Special Procedures unit.
• Serve patients primarily in the radiology department, including administering IV sedation.
• Monitor patient vital signs and ensure safety during procedures.
• Collaborate with physicians and technical staff to deliver high-quality care.
• Maintain compliance with all safety and procedural protocols.
• Document patient care accurately and thoroughly.

Required Qualifications:

• Minimum of 2 years of recent experience in a specialty area such as ICU, ER, PACU, or Radiology.
• Current ACLS certification.
• Current BLS certification.
• Experience providing IV sedation in a radiology setting preferred.

Preferred Experience / Skills:

• Prior radiology nursing experience preferred.
• Strong critical thinking and patient care skills.
• Ability to work well in a fast-paced environment.

Note: Candidates must be available to work two major holidays (Thanksgiving, Christmas, or New Year’s) and one minor holiday (Day after Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve, or New Year’s Eve). Outsiders within 50 miles are encouraged to apply; local candidates are preferred.
