Key Responsibilities

• Provide specialized cardiac vascular operating room nursing care for open heart and vascular procedures, including CABG, MVR, TVR, AVR, and VATS.
• Scrub and circulate procedures, prepare and set up sterile equipment, including Belmont, ESU, and positioning devices.
• Assist with room set-up, instrument and disposable set-up, and room turnover to ensure efficient operating room flow.
• Collaborate with the surgical team to maintain sterile techniques and ensure patient safety.
• Monitor and document patient status using Meditech Expanse system.
• Float to main operating rooms as needed and support team in high-acuity cardiac surgeries.

Required Qualifications

• Valid RN license; certification in BLS required.
• Minimum of 2 years of experience in cardiac surgery or CVOR nursing.
• Experience with sterile techniques, central line, arterial line, Belmont system, and cell saver setup.
• Ability to work effectively in a team environment and communicate clearly with patients and staff.

Preferred Experience / Skills

• CNOR certification highly preferred.
• Proficiency in using Belmont system and advanced cardiovascular procedures.
• Knowledge of Meditech Expanse documentation system.
