Schedule / Job Type
- Full-time, night shifts (6:30 PM – 7:00 AM) working every other weekend; includes floating to various pediatric units and departments as needed.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide nursing care to pediatric patients in the PICU, managing continuous nebulizers, BiPAP, insulin drips for DKA, and other critical procedures.
- Support patient management on the general pediatric floor when PICU needs are met, typically overseeing 3-4 patients.
- Utilize electronic health records and medication systems, primarily EPIC, for charting and documentation.
- Adhere to facility policies including badge in/out procedures and dress code of navy blue scrubs with optional child-friendly tops.
- Float to NICU, OB, and other pediatric units as assigned, including 1:1 safety sitters or low census coverage.
Required Qualifications
- Valid RN license with current BLS, PALS, and ACLS certifications.
- Experience with pediatric critical care procedures, including ventilator management, nebulizers, and insulin drips.
- Ability to work independently in a fast-paced, multi-unit environment.
- Proficiency with EPIC or similar computerized charting systems.
- Must have previously worked for Sanford Health with an end date at least 6 months prior to application submission (if applicable).
Preferred Experience / Skills
- Experience working in NICU or OB units.
- Comfortable floating between different pediatric units.
- Strong understanding of pediatric critical care protocols and procedures.

Note: All clinicians are required to badge in and out at the facility, and must wear navy blue scrubs, with the option for a colorful, child-friendly scrub top.
