Job Title

Schedule / Job Type
- Contract, 13 weeks, varied 12-hour day/evening shifts, no shift specified, on-call required
Key Responsibilities
- Assist with surgical procedures by creating and maintaining sterile fields
- Prepare and inspect sterile supplies and equipment before surgeries
- Anticipate the needs of the operative team and ensure all equipment functions properly
- Operate and maintain mechanical, electrical, and air-powered surgical equipment according to manufacturer instructions
- Scrub all types of surgeries, including specialty procedures such as sports medicine and trauma, without additional support
- Assist RNs with operative documentation, specimen collection, and hardware recording during procedures
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- At least one year of experience as a Surgical Technician or completion of Surgical Technician training
- BLS certification from the American Heart Association or American Red Cross
Preferred Experience / Skills
- Certification or eligibility for certification as a Surgical Technician
