• 13-week travel contract, full-time, night shift

Key Responsibilities

• Provide patient care in a 23-bed step-down/med-surg unit using standard procedures such as trach care, chest tube management, and wound dressing changes.
• Collaborate with a team of nurses, PCTs, and charge staff to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
• Monitor and respond to patients’ cardiac and respiratory needs, including stable vented patients and trachs.
• Utilize electronic medical records (Cerner) for documentation and patient tracking.
• Adhere to unit policies and safety guidelines, including proper use of lifts, cardiac drips, and other medical equipment.

Required Qualifications

• Minimum of 2 years of experience as a registered nurse.
• Experience with trach care and patient management for complex cases.
• Current ACLS and BLS certifications.
• Ability to float to other medical-surgical or progressive care units if required.
• Strong clinical skills with high flexibility and adaptability.

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Prior experience working within the Cerner EMR system.
• Experience in a similar ICU, step-down, or progressive care setting.
