Job Title
• Registered Nurse - IMC/PCU/Stepdown

Schedule / Job Type
• Full-time, rotating shifts, approximately 16-32 weeks assignment

Key Responsibilities
• Provide direct patient care in the Intermediate Care / Progressive Care / Stepdown units for adult patients, primarily with cardiac and surgical needs
• Float to similar units as needed, handling diverse cases including post-operative cardiac patients and vascular cases
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to develop and implement patient care plans
• Monitor patient vital signs, administer medications, and respond to acute changes in patient conditions
• Document patient information accurately and in compliance with hospital policies
• Ensure adherence to safety protocols and infection control standards

Required Qualifications
• Minimum of 2 years of nursing experience, with at least 1 year in a similar unit
• Current RN licensure in the state of Vermont
• AHA BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications required; NIHSS must be obtained prior to start
• Epic EMR experience within the past 2 years (non-negotiable)
• Recent experience in a Level 1 trauma center and cardiac stepdown, post-op (Day 1), cardiac surgery experience required
• Large trauma experience within the last year required
• Vascular and cardiothoracic nursing experience required

Preferred Experience / Skills
• PCCN certification preferred
• Willingness to work 2 out of 4 holidays (Thanksgiving, Christmas, Christmas Eve, New Year's Day)
• Ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment

Additional Information
• All applicants must have reliable transportation; public transit is not accessible in this area
• Vehicles should be equipped for winter conditions from November to April
• No block scheduling; shifts are scheduled Monday to Sunday
• Bi-weekly orientations (next available: 11/17)
