Schedule / Job Type

• Full-time, shifts available: 10:00 AM – 7:30 PM and 12:00 PM – 10:30 PM; some Saturdays required.
• 40 hours per week, including holidays and weekends.
• Bi-weekly orientations; next available orientation date is 11/17.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide post-anesthesia care to patients recovering from surgical procedures in a fast-paced PACU setting.
• Manage high-acuity patients with critical care needs, including art lines, titrating drips, and cardiac monitoring.
• Monitor patients across all age groups, including pediatrics, ensuring stability and safety.
• Document all care and interventions accurately within the electronic medical record system.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
• Handle infusion therapies and critical care procedures as needed.

Required Qualifications

• Valid RN license.
• 2-5 years of recent PACU or critical care experience in a large, teaching hospital.
• Critical care skills including working with art lines, multiple titrating drips, cardiac monitoring, and pediatrics.
• Certifications: BLS, ACLS, and PALS (current).
• Epic EMR experience within the past 2 years.
• Ability to work night shifts comfortably across all age groups.
• Reliable transportation with all-season or snow tires from November to April; public transit not available.

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Infusion therapy experience.
• Recent experience in a teaching or large hospital setting.
• Ability to explain employment gaps over 90 days.
• Knowledge of hospital bed counts, EMR specifics, and facility types for employment verification.
