Registered Nurse - Substance Abuse
Location: Aberdeen, WA
Schedule / Job Type: Contract, 12-hour rotating shifts (7a-7p, 10a-10p, 7p-7a), 36 hours per week, with every other weekend off
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide direct nursing care to patients in a substance abuse treatment setting
- Administer medications and monitor patient progress according to treatment plans
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to develop and implement patient care strategies
- Document patient assessments, interventions, and outcomes accurately
- Adhere to safety protocols and maintain compliance with healthcare regulations
- Assist with patient education and discharge planning
Required Qualifications:
- Current BLS certification
- Valid Washington state or multi-state nursing license (verification of Nursys demographics required)
- Verification of suicide prevention certification
- Minimum of one year of Medical/Surgical experience
- One year of chemical dependency or substance abuse treatment experience
- Charge nurse experience preferred, with working knowledge of ASAM criteria and addiction medicine
Preferred Experience / Skills:
- Experience working in a clinical setting close to Pacific Northwest beaches and Olympic Forest areas
- Strong understanding of addiction treatment protocols and multidisciplinary collaboration
