Schedule / Job Type
- Full-time, rotating shifts, 3x12-hour shifts (7AM-7:30PM / 7PM-7:30AM)
Key Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care in the Intermediate Care/Progressive Care Unit and Stepdown units.
- Monitor and assess patient conditions, administering treatments and medications as prescribed.
- Recognize and respond to patient emergencies, including ECG rhythm recognition.
- Document patient interactions and maintain accurate medical records.
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to ensure high-quality patient outcomes.
- Work at least every other holiday, fulfilling hospital staffing needs.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum of 18 months of permanent experience in the specialty prior to travel.
- Recent Cardiac Stepdown experience required; travel experience acceptable.
- Valid Ohio license or Compact State license.
- BLS and ACLS certifications.
- NIH Stroke Scale certification.
- Ability to pass ECG rhythm recognition and safe medication administration assessments during orientation.
Preferred Experience / Skills
- Experience in PCU or Progressive Care settings is preferred but not required.
- Previous travel nursing experience is a plus.
