Schedule / Job Type
- Full-time, night shifts, 12-hour shifts, acute care
Key Responsibilities
- Provide acute care for adult and geriatric patients in a new tower setting specializing in leukemia and hematology
- Monitor and interpret telemetry data, including dysrhythmias, and utilize rapid response teams as needed
- Manage IV therapy, blood product administration, and central line care including PICC lines
- Ensure infection prevention protocols and patient fall prevention strategies are followed
- Document patient care accurately using EPIC electronic health records
- Participate in orientation and ongoing training to maintain high standards of patient safety and care
Required Qualifications
- Minimum of 2 years of nursing experience in a clinical setting
- Valid BLS and ACLS certifications
- Experience with telemetry monitoring and dysrhythmia interpretation
- Ability to care for adult and geriatric patients with complex hematology needs
- Proficiency in IV therapy, blood draws, and central line management
Preferred Experience / Skills
- ONS Chemotherapy Certification
- NIHSS certification
- Experience with infection control and fall prevention protocols
