Key Responsibilities

• Perform diagnostic and interventional procedures in the cardiac catheterization laboratory.
• Assist with cardiac implant closures, stent placements, and other catheterization procedures.
• Set up equipment and recognize life-threatening arrhythmias.
• Maintain sterile technique and adhere to infection control protocols.
• Support adult patients, specifically middle and older adults, during procedures.
• Collaborate with the healthcare team to ensure smooth procedural workflows.

Required Qualifications

• Minimum 1 year of experience in a cardiac cath lab setting.
• Active license in the state of Illinois.
• Certifications: ACLS, BLS, ARRT, RCIS.
• Experience with Cerner charting system.
• Proficiency in procedural skills such as device closures, stent placement, and interpreting dysrhythmias.

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Experience with IABP placement/removal, Rotablader atherectomy, and Percutaneous Coronary Interventions (PCI).
• Knowledge of adult and older adult patient care.
• Ability to float within scope as needed.

Additional Details

• Duration: 13-26 weeks, with flexible scheduling options including 4x12s, 4x10s, 5x8s, or other shift arrangements.
• Open to local candidates; no radius restrictions.
• Will work 2-3 weekends per contract.
• On-call required, with flexible scheduling and a dedicated call team.
• No Guaranteed Hours, with policy allowing cancellation of up to 36 hours per 13-week period without pay.
• Parking permit provided at no cost.
• Hospital: 562-bed acute care facility, Level I trauma center, magnet status.
