- Travel, Days shift, 13-week assignment
Key Responsibilities
- Provide specialized nursing care in the Labor and Delivery unit for obstetric patients
- Perform circulating and assist with procedures such as cesarean sections
- Document patient care accurately using Meditech system
- Collaborate with healthcare team to ensure optimal patient outcomes
- Adhere to hospital policies regarding attire, hygiene, and infection control
- Cover float shifts as needed and maintain flexibility in scheduling
Required Qualifications
- Active Texas RN license (temporary licenses not accepted)
- Minimum of 2 years' experience in Labor and Delivery or OB nursing
- Certifications: ACLS, BLS, NRP, FM, AWHONN
- Ability to work day shifts from 7:00 AM to 7:00 PM
- Knowledge of Meditech documentation system
- Familiarity with obstetric procedures and patient care standards
Preferred Experience / Skills
- RNC (Registered Nurse Certified in Obstetrics)
- Prior experience with circulating C-section procedures
- Strong knowledge of AWHONN guidelines and fetal monitoring
- Experience working with a 12-bed unit with patient ratios of 2:1
