Key Responsibilities
- Provide circulating nursing care in the Operating Room during surgical procedures.
- Assist surgeons and surgical team members with various operative tasks.
- Ensure compliance with safety protocols and maintain sterile field requirements.
- Document patient care activities accurately within the medical records system.
- Collaborate with anesthesia, surgical techs, and other staff to facilitate efficient surgeries.
- Support patient preparation and recovery processes before and after procedures.
Required Qualifications
- NY state RN license or proof of application with applied date (processing time of 6-8 weeks considered).
- AHA BLS certification.
- Minimum of 2 years of circulating OR nursing experience.
- Recent EPIC electronic medical record system experience (within past 2 years).
- Ability to work per diem schedule with flexible weekend and holiday coverage.
Preferred Experience / Skills
- Scrub experience in addition to circulating duties.
- Prior travel or temporary nursing experience in a surgical setting.
- Familiarity with advanced surgical support equipment.
