• Full-time, night shift (12-hour nights: 7:00 PM – 7:30 AM)

Key Responsibilities

• Provide specialized nursing care to patients on the 5 North Searle Stroke Unit, focusing on high-acuity cases including strokes and ICU transfers
• Interpret and respond to EKG arrhythmias, monitor cardiac and stroke patient conditions
• Collaborate with a team of healthcare professionals to deliver comprehensive patient care
• Utilize Epic electronic health record system for documentation and patient management
• Adhere to clinical protocols and maintain certification requirements

Required Qualifications

• Active Illinois Registered Nurse license
• CPR, ACLS, and NIH Stroke certifications
• Must pass an EKG test on the first day of the contract
• Experience with Epic electronic health records
• Minimum of 3+ years of experience in Medical-Surgical Tele-Stroke units, with at least one travel contract completed
• Ability to work in a high-acuity environment involving strokes, cardiac, and telemetry patients

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Experience working in a Level 1 Trauma Center (not essential but preferred)
• Ability to interpret and manage cardiac and stroke patients
• Proficiency in responding to EKG arrhythmias and ICU transfers
• Floating to affiliated facilities such as Glenbrook, Skokie, or Highland Park, as needed

• Rare floating to other facilities in the area
