Key Responsibilities

• Provide individualized nursing care to residents in a skilled nursing facility, working under the supervision of the Director of Nursing (DON).
• Collaborate with physicians, staff, residents, and families to develop and implement care plans.
• Perform routine nursing duties including medication administration, vital signs, assessments, and documentation.
• Respond to emergencies promptly, carrying out resuscitation and other emergency protocols as needed.
• Maintain infection control standards and ensure a safe environment for residents and staff.
• Assist with patient transfers, lab draws, and other diagnostic procedures as ordered.
• Document patient assessments, interventions, and progress accurately and timely.
• Participate in staff meetings, ongoing education, and quality improvement initiatives.

Required Qualifications

• Valid California LVN or LPN license.
• Current BLS (CPR) certification.
• Good physical health and stamina to perform patient care activities.
• Ability to communicate effectively in English, both verbally and in writing.
• Dependable with a strong attendance record.
• Ability to follow directions, adapt to changes, and work as part of a team.

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Previous experience working in a long-term care or skilled nursing facility.
• Knowledge of infection control and emergency procedures.
• Strong assessment skills and ability to respond resourcefully in urgent situations.
