Schedule / Job Type: Nights / Full-time

Key Responsibilities:

• Coordinate and perform a variety of nursing care procedures for patients of all ages, adhering to provider’s orders, hospital policies, and nursing standards.
• Make independent clinical decisions during assigned shifts, ensuring patient safety and quality care while consulting with supervisors when necessary.
• Administer age-specific medications and therapeutics, accurately document medical and nursing care plans, and collaborate with healthcare team members.
• Conduct comprehensive nursing assessments, develop and implement individualized care plans, and evaluate patient progress toward recovery goals.
• Educate patients and families, providing clear explanations of tests, procedures, and disease processes, and support psychosocial health through counseling and resource coordination.
• Maintain confidentiality, ensure infection control, and support the overall mission of delivering safe, therapeutic, and efficient patient care.

Required Qualifications:

• Valid, current, and unrestricted RN license in the State of Alaska.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) and Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) certifications upon hire.
• Ability to obtain Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification within 6 months of employment.
• Knowledge of nursing principles, assessment techniques, and emergency response skills.
• Proficiency in operating medical equipment such as monitors, defibrillators, ventilators, and assist with emergency procedures.

Preferred Experience / Skills:

• One year of clinical nursing experience, preferably in an emergency or critical care setting.
• Prior experience in emergency or specialty nursing units is a plus.
• Strong communication skills and ability to work effectively under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
